This is beautiful. I am keen to know your lighting techniques for this image. I can see specular highlights in the water and droplets which indicate roughly were you have situated them. I would be thankful if you could share this with me. Any other tips on HSP would also be helpful.
Thanks Ashley

Ashley,
It was a long time ago, and I do not remember exact placement of the lights i have.. unfortunately. But I am sure I’ve used 3 canon speedlite strobes, one was used to highlight the background (essentially top of it, so it will be reflected from a water surface), two was positioned somewhere on the sides, little bit behind the drop (talking about yellow drop).
If we shoot a fairly transparent subject, like a water, there is no way we can highlight it directly: the light will go through. right? So, I usually have the most of the lights behind the splash, highlighting a background. This is how I shot the rest of the splashes on this set.
Thank you.
