Mastering Splash to create a beauty

While preparing the Godiva liqueur shot we tried shooting with many different liquids, including water colored by fabric dye. During that particular photoshoot I was developing different techniques for splash shapes and learning how to consistenly throw them.  We’ve got hundreds of different colored splashes.
Yesterday we were celebrating  the launch of “MasteringSplash.com” and I bought roses

It was fun to be on the show and I can tell you now, it wasn’t scary at all:-) I even managed to shoot something relatively good, considering that it was only a 10 minute shoot.
Many thanks to show hosts: +Catherine Hall and +Leo Laporte, they created such a warm and friendly atmosphere, as well

Godiva Liquor shot: Milk, Chocolate and lot of fun.

Performing Liquid photography research: The mysterious water balls

Liquid photography water ball by Alex Koloskov

This past weekend, I played with these little gel-like clear balls that we’ve had for a few weeks now sitting and waiting to be photographed. That gel has exactly the same refraction that water has, meaning they become completely invisible in the water.
Eventually I had time to play with this prop, just to make sure it will look as

The beauty shot by Alex Koloskov

It was fun, even though not everything was as smooth (in terms of communications) as I would have liked. We managed to switch from a Google plus hangout to a justin.tv broadcast in just 30 minutes before the shot was scheduled to begin. I was surprised to find out that G+ only lets 10 participants

Liquid Splash photography masterclass by Alex Koloskov in Atlanta

Alex Koloskov photography masterclass

We call it masterclass, not a workshop and there is a good reason for this. To me, a ‘masterclass’ is a short but powerful insider look at everything it takes to create a masterful photo.
This ‘masterclass’ is different and unique- I’ll show you how to create a true portfolio worthy masterpiece. Not an average “nice
