I’ve already shared some of the insights of this shot on Google plus and now it’s time to post everything on here. So here is our hero shot: Milk and chocolate splash Godiva liqueur
Part one: the Godiva bottle As you have probably already guessed, this shot is a composite made from several separate images. First, we did the bottle. The lighting
Last Saturday we had a product Photography meetup at Photoplex Studios. We photographed seven different products from Ukrainian vodka to jewelry, all in five hours. Thank you to everyone who attended, I am sure it was pretty interesting experience.
We did a lot more then I expected to get done in just five hours. I must
We almost have made it! Update (08/02/2011): We all set. Meetup is full.
It will be pretty interesting shoutout, as we’ll be working on completely different products… not mentioning that we’ll have about 45 minutes to shot each. This is what I call hi-speed photography :-)) Curious to see results? Subscribe to get updates! I am going
This e-videobook is based on Alex Koloskov “Mastering Splash” masterclass. It includes 4 hours of video from the class as well as additional information about the the gear used and shot specification. The full version of e-book also includes a step-by-step post-production in Photoshop. We call it a masterclass, not a workshop and there is a
This Saturday we had our first in-studio masterclass! It was great fun and quite the experience for me:
Update: e-videobook is now available for ordering: Download it here! Details below:We had a five-hour shoot and it was some of the most intense shooting and speaking work I have ever done:-). Here are the things we went

This is probably the most expected video (by my readers and by me): a recorded LIVE broadcast from the product photography masterclass we hosted over two month ago. That time we shot Marine Star Bulova Men’s watch, and below the result:
We had the same watch photographed a little differently for the announcement of this masterclass,
We just got finished our second LIVE masterclass, this time we shoot Bulova watch, exactly as it was announced. It went pretty well, we got even better result (IMO) then we did for the announcement.

Thank for all who participated our first masterclass, I think it was good, especially considering that this is my first time when I was working and talking on public:-) I can’t say that it was an easy task for me: being born introvert and quite shy guy, I do not feel comfortable talking to more then
I glad to announce a date for our first LIVE masterclass: Saturday, 7th August at 5PM Eastern time. We’ll be doing our water photography third tutorial, creating photos similar you see below. The lesson will take about an hour, plus some additional time when I can answer your questions.
This is a second episode (the first one is here) from the “Water in product and advertisement photography” series. This time we used the same tank and mix of distilled and sparkling water. The idea was simple: pouring objects into a water and shooting through the water tank, positioning camera strictly horizontal. Because we have used
As promised, here is the tutorial for what I call “underwater” product photography (not sure what the right name for this). We shoot several products, from fruits to a shampoo bottles, and now I am glad to show you the result.
This is the most enjoyable photo-shot I had for last few month: not only the
